ABOUT US
Our Mission
The LGBTQ+ India Organization was initially started with the aim of spreading awareness and countering misinformation. We publish informative, creative, and interactive content in easy to understand language. We have now grown into a team of over 30 volunteers.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we primarily focus on publishing online content and collaborating with fellow queer creators. However, we plan on expanding in the near future.
TLIO is not just an awareness forum, it is a community - a safe space for people of all genders and sexualities. But most importantly, it is a homage to all those who came before us and worked hard so we could be here today.
Meet The Team
Aditi Upadhyaya
Founder
Aditi is a freshman at the University of Toronto, from Bangalore, India. She loves writing and research and hopes to make the world a better and safer place for everyone.
Amber Gomes
Instagram and Blog Writing Head
Amber is a 17-year-old arts student based in Goa. She wants to study music business and hopes to head her own record label some day!
Zaima Kazi
Head of Department Graphic Design
Zaima is a 16-year-old junior in high school living in Southern California. She doesn’t know what she wants to major in yet, but she enjoys graphic design as a hobby.
Aneri Shah
Head of Department Social Networking
Aneri is a 22-year-old enthusiast and an active supporter of the community. She is studying to be a textile designer who cares immensely about art and culture.
